Lange fristete die CD ihr Dasein auf meinem Stapel der noch zu hörenden Silberlinge.
Die Hörproben im Laden waren schon gut, aber (wie so oft) noch nicht völlig aussagekräftig. „The Jezabels“ sollten dennoch eine Chance bekommen. Doch dann geriet „Synthia“ daheim mehr oder minder in Vergessenheit.
Bis ich sie doch (endlich!) aus dem Dornröschenschlaf erweckte.

Ich bin begeistert.
Ein bitterer Beigeschmack schwingt jedoch retrospektiv betrachtet mit, schließlich schlug auch hier die Unsäglichkeit cancer disease zu. Aus diesem Blickwinkel betrachtet, hat „Come alive“ noch eine weitere Bedeutungsebene hinzugewonnen. Ein Lied über und für starke Frauen.
